Nobody would have been saying this a few weeks ago, but on Sky’s Saturday social today both of the pundits agreed that Chelsea had a “good chance” of getting into the Champions League, given there will be potentially 5 spots available this season.
One of them made the good point that we’ve got a deep squad built for Europe – but don’t actually have any European football to play. One we get into the grind of the Christmas period, that should be a big advantage over a large part of the league.
