Mauricio Pochettino was asked whether his Chelsea team can win the EFL Cup in a press conference after the 2-0 victory over Blackburn tonight.
His reply was a yes – but not a very convincing one.
He focused on how important the competition is, given his team aren’t in Europe, but that’s a slightly different question.
We have drawn Newcastle in the next round, which will really put us to the test. If we beat them we’re in the semis, and we certainly can happily claim we’re in it to win it.
