Robert Sanchez was interviewed on PL TV after last night’s win, and was asked about his friend Nicolas Jackson.
He was bullish and pleased for the striker after his first career hattrick.
“He’s had a lot of criticism this season but I think that’s what he deserves today, he put the effort in and got three goals… I’m over the moon for him,” the goalkeeper commented.
There certainly has been a lot of criticism – much of it warranted. But you can be happy for Jackson as a human, no matter what you think of his presence in the team – we’re certainly delighted for such a nice guy to be doing well just like his teammate.
