Moises Caicedo admitted this week that he was grateful that his manager Mauricio Pochettino had “protected” him this season as the midfielder has struggled.
He means in the press, we think. But perhaps behind the scenes too. On ESPN, Gab and Juls found it all rather amusing. Julien Laurens said that Caicedo certainly couldn’t mean on the pitch, where Pochettino is “leaving him all exposed” by a total lack of “structure” in this Chelsea team.
One thing leads to another – but we desperately need Caicedo to be at his best if we want to see any improvement from the team.
