But Pochettino of course also has a big say, and he clearly loves and wants to keep midfielder Conor Gallagher at the club.
And his influence on this situation looks to be paying off with the Chelsea board now being backed into a corner on this one.
According to Football London today, Gallagher wants to stay at Chelsea, and Pochettino wants that too. Pochettino is now waiting on a decision from the club’s board.
Pre-contract talks have taken place, but no concrete offer from the club just yet. Pochettino will now push for this as well, as also confirmed by London World.
