Chelsea have just confirmed on their official website that Andrey Santos has returned to the club after a disastrous loan spell at Nottingham Forest was terminated.
The Brazilian was flying high a year ago after signing for Chelsea. He continued his great progress back on loan with his former club Vasco De Gama, then excelled for the Brazil U20 team in the summer.
It was all lined up perfectly for a solid season gaining experience in the Premier League – but in the end he accumulated just 97 first team minutes in 6 months with Forest.
Now he’s back at Chelsea, with reported interest from teams like Crystal Palace and Championship sides in taking him on loan for the second part of the season.
There also seems a chance that he sticks around with Mauricio Pochettino’s first team, but that will likely depend on the severity of Romeo Lavia’s injury setback and Conor Gallagher’s status.
