Sky Sports did a long feature on Conor Gallagher and his uncertain future at Chelsea this morning.
As their pundits point out, the big difference is between an important player for Mauricio Pochettino and an important player for Chelsea.
Clearly the manager wants him and wants to keep him. The club feel differently.
What we would say is that it’s not very healthy to have such a large gap between the thinking of the two parties in a situation like this.

Sorry, but what is the actual evidence that the club “don’t want him [Gallagher]� Just because they listen to offers for players doesn’t necessarily mean anything. They’d be committing malpractice if they weren’t constantly exploring options. Besides, if there is anything driving a bona fide desire to sell Gallagher it’s the constant drumbeat from supporters to buy another 100m player—notably a striker like Osimhen. If supporters would simply tamp down the noise on this front I bet we’d hear far fewer rumours about the sale of another academy product!
