Goal of the Month competitions tend to be dominated by two things – long range screamers and team moves finished nicely.
It’s much more fun to see a truly unique goal in the mix, and that’s just what Cole Palmer provided last weekend against Luton. The way he dribbled around the keeper and then between defenders before rolling the ball in was far more elegant and interesting than any number of ranged efforts – and it’s no surprise to see it nominated for the December goal of the month.
