Injured Chelsea pair Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka are “doing well” and are close to a return, Mauricio Pochettino confirmed in his press conference today.
The pair are not going to be fit for tomorrow’s game though, the coach also revealed.
The good news is that there are two EFL Cup games coming up against lower league opposition which we can use to get them some minutes. We expect Pochettino to really play a strong side in those games, given they’re a semi, but that shouldn’t prevent appearances off the bench for either of these two.
