Mauricio Pochettino defended his team’s performance against Middlesbrough on Tuesday by pointing out that we were up against a strong team in a tough stadium.
He said that Moises Caicedo had told him that he and Brighton had been beaten at the Riverside last year.
Except for the fact that Boro didn’t play (or beat) Brighton last season.
In reality it sounds more like Caicedo had the mix up. If he said Brighton lost there (maybe he was thinking of a different team), why would Pochettino doubt him?
