Mauricio Pochettino spoke to Chelsea TV after last night’s game and was pretty happy with what he’d seen, despite the fact that Chelsea couldn’t turn early dominance into goals.
The manager pointed out that playing on Tuesday night hadn’t helped, and that he thought his team had lost control of the game in the second half as their energy levels dropped.
He concluded that he was really happy with the performance overall, and by congratulating his players.
We did like what we saw in a high tempo first half, and given Pochettino is a positive coach, his positive outlook on a game we could have won is not surprising.
