Plenty of people have doubted whether Axel Disasi is good enough to be a starting central defender for Chelsea. He’s had some good games and some bad ones in a campaign full of dark moments for the team.
One thing you can’t question is his passion. Perhaps he thought his chance to play for a top team was fading? Either way, he’s relishing playing for Chelsea, as he showed in the celebrations last night as the Blues won the game late on.
While the rest of the team ran to the away fans then stood in front of them, Disasi got stuck in – quite literally.
