“Several European clubs” watching developing Chelsea talent – Blues have decision to make for next season

Chelsea have not had a vintage season in terms of loans, and we saw a couple of high profile moves cancelled in January. But that has been working out great is Omari Hutchinson’s switch to Ipswich for the season.

It took him a while to earn his place in the team, but as the gruelling Championship season has ploughed on, he’s taken his chances for the high flying Tractor Boys.

Manager Kieran McKenna has gradually learned to trust him, and he’s won a bunch of vital points in recent weeks as Ipswich try to keep pace with the giant teams at the top of the division. He’s got a total of 11 goal contributions for the season already.

Now Fabrizio Romano is writing that there are “several European clubs monitoring his progress.”

It seems possible we sell him if we get the right offer, but even more likely we loan him out again, this time to a top flight side, and try to build his value even further. If he continues developing like this, that would be the smart move.
