Yesterday saw rulings finally arrive over Everton’s point deductions for breaking the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules, reminding everyone of the potential punishments hanging in the air.

The Daily Telegraph today claims that we need to bring in something in the order of £100m by the end of June, when the league’s accounting period ends.
Last year we had a lot of senior talent to sell off, so it was pretty easy to raise quick cash. This year, the cupboard is pretty bare in terms of players who could fetch big fees.
The key sales are likely to be Ian Maatsen and Romelu Lukaku, both already out on loan. If we can get big fees for them, we can make up the rest piecemeal. Armando Broja and Trevoh Chalobah are home grown players wo could generate a fair bit too.
What we don’t want to see is the club breaking the emergency glass and selling Conor Gallagher.
