Besiktas want Chelsea striker

Demba Ba joined Chelsea from Newcastle in January 2013 and has since been left frustrated, with Jose Mourinho often choosing Eto’o and Torres ahead of him.

The Senegalese striker netted just five times this season, although he did score a vital Champions League goal against French side Paris Saint German, which saw Chelsea knock PSG out of the Champions League quarterfinals at Stamford Bridge.

With Chelsea keen to sign Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid and perhaps Ezequiel Lavezzi from PSG, Demba Ba’s appearances on the pitch could be strongly limited next season.

After finishing third in the Turkish League this season, Besiktas are looking for strikers and are carefully considering bringing Ba to their team should the Senegalese International accept.

It will take a while before transfers are officially talked through as players around the world are preparing for the World Cup with their national teams.

TORRES IN SPAIN

In national team training ahead of this summer’s World Cup, striker Fernando Torres is working to prove his worth to his Spanish side after another trying season with Chelsea. Below is a video of Torres bagging himself a goal in training.
