With all the hype surrounding the upcoming World Cup in Brazil, it is easy to forget that among the glamour of the tournament, many are struggling with crime and poverty.
Tifosy.com are the first site that introduce the idea of ‘football fanfunding’ – fans of football donating what they can to back campaigns that will improve people’s lives, a business or a project.
With just 9 days to go until the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, football fans everywhere are gearing up for what could be one of the greatest shows the football world has ever seen.

However, as Tifosy and many others know, there is a darker side to Brazil, where people live in poverty and are surrounded by crime in their everyday lives, making their days a constant danger.
Tifosy are attempting to raise enough money, £15,000, to help improve the lives of these people through the one thing that we all love: football.
They are funding the ‘Favela Street’ campaign which allows young people to escape the crowds that make their lives dangerous and get them playing football with people that they can trust and grow closer to.
Additionally, the campaign aims to send the youngsters involved in ‘Favela Street’ to a World Cup game at the famous Maracana stadium, a once in a lifetime opportunity for many of them.
With Chelsea legend and former player/manager Gianluca Vialli as ambassador and supporter of the campaign, there is even more reason to back the campaign by donating here and help improve the lives of people who share the same passion with even just a small donation.
With under £7,000 left to raise of the £15,000, if everyone were to donate even £5 or £10, or whatever you can, then a dream could come true for many of these youngsters.
You may even win a reward from Tifosy and the campaign to say ‘thank you’ for your generosity and commitment to helping those less fortunate.
Check out Tifosy, and keep checking back to see if your football club is running a campaign there.
