Costa takes one step closer to the Bridge

The World Cup in Brazil kicks off in approximately a week and Chelsea remain confident to sign Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid before the competition starts.

Jose Mourinho’s move on the Spaniard looks almost certain but recent talks have been held up in the previous weeks due to Costa’s hamstring injury.
However, the striker took part in the training with the Spanish squad in the US ahead of the World Cup.

Diego Costa made it clear that he wants to join the blues and work under Jose Mourinho. Even personal terms have been agreed, but the hamstring injury has delayed his medical at the bridge.

After an impressive season with the Colchoneros and claiming the “La Liga” title, he would be be the first major signing for Chelsea.

Paris St Germain want the Belgian striker Eden Hazard to join them next season and are preparing a £60million bid for him this summer, but Chelsea want to keep the talented forward and have revealed the 23-year-old will play as number 10 from September, so a move away from the Bridge looks unlikely for Eden.
