Chelsea turn down bid for midfielder

Chelsea’s manager Jose Mourimho intends to keep Ramires in his plans for next season and isn’t willing to sell him to Real Madrid.

Los Blancos have shown interest to attract Ramires to the Bernabeu, but Jose Mourinho insists the Brazilian won’t be leaving Stamford Bridge.

Reports say former Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti was ready to sign Ramires and Luis Suarez ahead of their next season, but according to the Special One, letting Ramires go isn’t an option after Frank Lampard’s contract wasn’t renewed and David Luiz went to PSG.

The Brazilian international might not be aware of the transfer speculation surrounding him as he’s fully focused and preparing for the World Cup, which kicks off this Thursday when Brazil open the campaign by playing Croatia.

Ramires’s contract with Chelsea contracts him until 2017 having signed a new five year in 2012.

However, it is fair to say that the 27-year-old has had a really encouraging stay at Chelsea so far as he’s made almost 200 appearances for Chelsea since joining them from Portuguese Champions Benfica in 2010.
