Diego Costa injury ‘nothing serious’

Diego Costa’s Spanish teammate David Silva has revealed that the injury sustained by the striker on international duty is nothing to worry about.

Diego Costa pulled out of the Spanish squad on Friday due to a hamstring injury sustained while on international duty, raising fears among Chelsea fans that he may miss their next league game against Swansea.

However, Manchester City midfielder David Silva has revealed that his Spanish teammates injury is very minor.

I saw Costa was doing well and I talked to him. The injury is nothing serious.

This was Costa’s second injury worry in a week after Chelsea did extremely well to get him fit enough to travel to Goodison Park last weekend, for a game in which he scored two of Chelsea’s six goals.

However, it appears that Costa’s fitness will not be in any doubt when Chelsea host Swansea next Saturday afternoon.

The full extent of the injury is yet unknown however after Costa flew back to West London on Friday for further scans on his hamstring.

Blues fans will certainly be hoping to see the frontman line up as soon as possible, and hopefully see him add to the four goals that he has hit in just three league games so far for Chelsea.
