New Chelsea signing will wear number 49 this season as image surfaces online

A new Chelsea player has decided to wear the number 49 this season as an image of his shirt surfaces online last night.

It’s a quieter period again now after a long summer of transfer speculation, business, rumours, and plenty of noise going around in the transfer rumour windmill.

EXCLUSIVE! How Chelsea ‘scrambled’ to sign a new striker on deadline day and turned to Wolves!

It’s now an international break as well as the transfer window closing on Monday, so it really is now going to be a period of calm and quiet around Chelsea and domestic football, at least until the Premier League is back again next weekend.

For now though, we will still be having plenty to chat about and plenty to read about as there always is around this crazy football club that we love so much!

Chelsea signed a number of new players in the summer transfer window and in the early part of the window they did really well to make some very good signings such as Joao Pedro, who has been superb since he arrived at the club and has really hit the ground running.

Then they had a bit of a quiet period before signing a few more players late on, one of which caused some controversy amongst the fan base.

Garnacho split opinions

I’d say the majority of Chelsea fans were not that keen on signing Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United as it grew a real negative reaction from the supporters. However, he arrived at Chelsea and the fans will now get behind him and back him fully – or at least I hope they do.

Number 49!

As you can see in the image above, the Argentine winger has decided to wear the number 49 at Chelsea this season.

At United, he did wear the number 49 for a period, as well as the number 7 and the number 17.
