The good news is Fabregas is expected to start on Wednesday when Chelsea face Everton at 19:45 UK time.
‘I think he [Fabregas] plays Wednesday because on Saturday it was a decision to protect him. We didn’t want to risk two players at the same time. We risked with Willian and to start two players with a risk is a big gamble and we gambled with only one.’
If we read between the lines there is also a potential start for Chelsea new boy Cuadrado. Willian’s form has improved in the last 3 games, he has managed 2 assists in 3 games and we all know he works hard and gives everything for the team.
He is usually the first player back when we lose the ball, his pace and industry encourages Branislav Ivanovic to overlap at every opportunity.

We could literally thank Willian for both goals but I feel to get the best from the Brazilian we need to rotate as much as possible and I think Cuadrado will rise to the challenge and give us a totally different look going forward.
Another player that could find himself in the starting line-up is Zouma, Gary Cahill played very well against Villa but I don’t think Mourinho will risk him after he picked up a knock in our last game.
With Costa out due to the 3 match ban we could also see Remy getting a rare start, it is tricky to predict how Jose will set up the team for Wednesday because he is now presented with a selection headache after solid performances from Zouma and Ramires.

‘The best Ramires is back and the best Ramires played against Liverpool, Man City and Aston Villa,’ praised Mourinho. We could see Ramires keep his place and see Fabregas play as our number 10 behind Remy.
We have seen this tactic several times this season, and I just know Mourinho will field a team capable of keeping our home record intact and most importantly getting all 3 points.
With Fabregas back I expect our midfield to finally tick and keep us at the edge of our seats. Our last league encounter with Everton turned out to be a goal feast I hope this game is no different.
