Mourinho started by saying he was a bit nervous during the second half of the match and that it wasn’t the best match to follow a cup final, he would of preferred a more relaxed game.
It was a great victory for us. In every title race you have different matches to play. Today we had to adapt.
He says at times Chelsea had to defend with everything, he went on to praise Courtois and the defence and midfield in front of him. He also had a rare compliment for the referee and his assistants, he notes they performed well in what was a tough fixture to manage.
Mourinho also says Chelsea played some fantastic football tonight including the build up to the goal and when Ramires hit the post.
Mourinho ended in what was a short press conference saying,
Matic picked up a small ankle injury celebrating our cup win on Sunday. He wouldn’t have been able to play tonight.
However he will be back training this weekend and will play against PSG a week tonight.
