Chelsea to offload youngsters this summer

Chelsea are already planning selling two of their talented youngsters come this summer, according to widespread reports this morning.

The first deal involves the Gael Kakuta. His claim to fame was nearly landing the Blues with a two-window transfer ban in 2009 after accusations he’d been ‘tapped up’ from the FC Lens academy. In six years, Kakuta has made 16 first-team appearances. Much was expected of the young talent, who’s constant loans have done him no favours.

The Evening Standard are reporting that Monaco are interested in the French international, who has shown some promise during his time in La Liga with Rayo Vallecano. Kakuta has bagged four goals and six assists in 23 La Liga games.

According to The Telegraph, Patrick Bamford could be leaving the West London side on-loan again next year, to Aston Villa, if they maintain their Premier League status. The 21 year-old has been in deadly form for Middlesbrough, where he has played his football this season. 17 goals in 35 appearances – bringing his Football League total to an impressive 43 goals in 95 matches.

He seems more than ready for Premier League level, but This Is Futbol have speculated that if ‘Boro clinch promotion to the Premier League, the young English striker could be on loan there again, next season. Sitting third in the Championship, just one point off automatic promotion, with only three games remaining. Who knows what is around the corner.
