Higuita: Juan Cuadrado will be Chelsea success

According to Rene Higuita, Colombian international, and January signing Juan Cuadrado will be a success at Chelsea despite a slow start to his Premier League career.

In the winter transfer window, the 26-year-old completed his £23.3m move to the Premier League leaders from Italian side Fiorentina on the final day.

However, since his arrival, Cuadrado has only made just two starts for the West Londoners so far, whilst Mohamed Salah, who moved in the opposite direction on loan, has scored seven goals in Fiorentina colours.

But goalkeeper Higuita, who was made famous by his exceptional scorpion kick save, is positive that the Chelsea signing has all the necessary attributes to be a massive talent at Stamford Bridge.

“He is a player that has many qualities, and hopefully he’ll do well in London,” Higuita is quoted as saying by London24.

“He’ll make a very good improvement process in England and hopefully look his best version. I think he can do it.”

Cuadrado has featured in six Premier League games following his big-money move from the Serie A earlier this year.

The Colombia forward has racked up just 187 minutes of top-flight action for Jose Mourinho’s side so far.
