The daily mirror are reporting, Chelsea have decided they are willing to pay as much as £50m to capture the signature of Atletico Madrid’s Koke. This week it has been reported that Chelsea’s director of football Michael Emenalo has flown to Spain to have talks with the La Liga side, with the aim to try and sign Koke.
According to the newspaper, Jose Mourinho is eager to sign the central midfielder before the start of next season and Koke’s versatility is something which excites him. It is being reported that to make space for Koke, Chelsea are prepared to offload Mikel, Ramires or maybe even Oscar.
However, Chelsea aren’t the only ones interested in signing Koke. Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and PSG have all been linked with the Spaniard this season. Although Atletico Madrid are hesitant to let their hot prospect move away from the club. It is believed only a big sum of money will tempt them to sell him.
If Koke was to join Chelsea, he is likely to have a positive impact on our fan base, he will also significantly help Chelsea on the pitch and in a commercial aspect for us. He is a signing which is likely to increase shirt sales.
