According to The Times, Chelsea fans will have smiles on their faces, as one of their young starlets will be offered a new five-year-deal to keep him at the West London club.
The player? Patrick Bamford. The English international, who has set the Championship alight this season, and was even crowned their player of the year, has been tipped to break into Mourinho’s first team next season.
Both Chelsea and Jose Mourinho are huge fans of the former MK Dons loanee, and want to keep him in London on a long term basis. This will make him well aware that he is valued, and feel the new long term extension is the way to do that – complete with a obvious rise in his wages.
