European trio looking at Salah

Mohamed Salah could be set for a move away from Chelsea, but not to Fiorentina, according to the Daily Star.

The 2nd half of this season, the Egyptian international was playing his football in Florence, Italy – on loan from the Blues. It’s fair to say he was quite impressive. During his time here, his impressive displays caught the eye of plenty of teams from around the continent.

For next season, Fiorentina are in the driving seat to secure Salah’s services – if they want him. An option to extend his loan is in place.

However, with it being reported that both Atletico Madrid and Wolfsburg are both interested in the former Basel man, competition has risen.

Italian media are reporting that the duo are interested in the winger, as they assess their options heading into next season.

Corriere dello Sport are suggesting that Atletico have made contact with the West London side, regarding the winger. Wolfsburg are eyeing a bid for the Egyptian, if Kevin de Bruyne departs the Bundesliga club.

The 22-year-old wants regular first team football, which Chelsea won’t be able to promise with the likes of Eden Hazard and Willian regularly starting for the Blues.

Therefore, it’s unlikely Salah will re-join his team-mates at Stamford Bridge, despite his impressive form.

Because Fiorentina missed out on the chance to play in the Champions League next season, Salah may be looking elsewhere. Both Atletico and Wolfsburg have qualified for European’s elite competition.
