Vialli: Costa will ‘fall in love’ with Chelsea

Former Chelsea striker and Manager Gianluca Vialli has stated that Chelsea striker Diego Costa will ‘fall in love’ with the West London side, and will stay for a ‘very long time.’

In his 26 Premier League appearances last season, the Spanish international bagged himself 20 goals. It was his first season in the top flight of English football following his move from Atletico Madrid, Spain.

However, despite the plaudits he gets for his football, Costa gets criticised a lot because of his temper – something he got banned for in the last campaign.

Altogether, Costa received no less than 10 yellow cards last season, and was also given a ban for stamping on Liverpool’s Emre Can in the Capital One Cup semi-final, 2nd leg.

With the heavy criticism coming from outside Stamford Bridge, reports were starting to emerge that Costa was feeling homesick, and a move back to Spain could have been on the cards.

Former Blues striker Vialli has backed the former Atletico man to fall in love with the Blues:

“It was tough for him to understand the controversies,” Vialli told The Sun.
