Salah’s move to Fiorentina in doubt

Forza Italian Football are suggesting that Fiorentina’s general director, Andrea Rogg, has revealed that the Serie A club are going to talk to Mohamed Salah’s representatives, regarding the Egyptian’s future.

Salah’s future in Florence has been put in doubt because of the recent sacking of Vincenzo Montella. Recent reports have suggested that Salah can now point blank refuse to stay at Fiorentina, if he wants.

Rogg told reporters:

We will meet with his representatives in two days and we will see what his requests are.

“We have not spoken to the player. But we have already paid for the renewal of the loan, and established the contract for the upcoming season. We want to keep to what the contract says.”

It was only in January 2015 when Salah made the temporary switch from Chelsea to Fiorentina, in a push to gain regular football minutes under his belt, as he wasn’t getting them in West London. If they wanted it, La Viola had the option to pay €1 million to extend the Egyptian’s stay, with an option of making the move permanent for €18 million.

If the winger decides to leave Fiorentina, a whole list of clubs have expressed interest. Inter, AC Milan, Juventus, Roma and Atletico Madrid are all keen on signing the pacey attacker.
