According to the ever reliable Di Marzio, Chelsea have been in touch with Paul Pogba’s agent, regarding the availability of the France international who currently plays at Serie A champions Juventus.
Barcelona are strongly linked with the ex-Manchester United midfielder, with the next president of the Catalans keen to snap up the Champions League finalist.
But now, Chelsea have been in contact. However, there are a couple of stumbling blocks that may prevent Pogba moving to Stamford Bridge. First of all, the Blues aren’t keen on spending the 10 million a year. 20% cut of a future transfer is also a clause Chelsea don’t agree with.
There is still plenty of discussions for teams to have with Juventus, if they are to persuade the Turin club to sell one of their most valuable players.
The Champions League finalists aren’t keen on losing their young, but vital midfielder. However, if the price is right, they’ll do the business.
