Stoke City have confirmed that goalkeeper Asmir Begovic has joined Premier League champions, Chelsea.
The 28-year-old Bosnian international has penned a four-year-deal at Stamford Bridge, and has spoken to Chelsea FC. Speaking to the Club’s official website, Begovic said:
I am very happy to be joining Chelsea FC. After speaking at length to the manager, I feel like I can develop here and be an important part of this team. I am looking forward to meeting up with the team on Wednesday for the pre-season tour.
Begovic will take Petr Cech’s no.1 jersey, with Thibaut Courtois remaining #13.
The 6ft 6in has spent five-and-a-half years at Stoke, joining from Portsmouth in 2010.
Making 172 appearances at the Britannia, Begovic quickly grabbed the #1 position inbetween the sticks for the various managers he’s worked under.
Since it'll probably be asked a few times, Begovic qualifies as Home Grown for Premier League and Champions League (Association Trained).

Begovic has even scored from his own penalty box, netting against Southampton in 2013.

The Bosnian shot stopper is Chelsea’s 2nd signing, following the entrance of Radamel Falcao.
