Pedro has dismissed talks about his future and says he’s concentrating on Barcelona and their upcoming season. However he has admitted his minimum fee release clause has been decreased, the report comes from Sport.es.
I don’t want to think about the future, I want to rest, be calm and to start the season on Wednesday with my teammates. I don’t want to say anything else because it would be a lack of respect to my club, Barça.
Pedro also told Spanish journalists he hasn’t spoken with Jose Mourinho.
However when he was questioned about his release clause being lowered he said,
That’s true, both the club and I decided to reduce the clause and it’s true there are offers. I’m in a difficult situation at Barcelona.
He finished by hinting he would like more game time but also highlighted his passion for playing for Barcelona.
“I hope that I can retire at Barça, but it’s a very demanding club. It’s difficult to be at that level, we will see what happens. Everyone is happier when they play. I don’t know when there will be a solution. I want to begin pre-season and we will see.”
