Official: New kit launch tomorrow

Tomorrow the official kit for the 2015/16 campaign will be released. However this morning the Chelsea twitter page and some of the players have tweeted sneak previews of the kit prior to the launch (see below).

From the previews we can tell the kit will be the trademark royal blue in colour (obviously). It looks to also have a small collar with buttons down the front. The typical 3 white stripes will also feature along the arm of the shirt. The kit will also feature our new sponsor on the front. The words ‘Yokohama Tyres’ looks set to appear on the front with their red logo to the side of the name. This will be a bit unusual at first as Chelsea fans are used to seeing ‘Samsung’ on their kits for the last 10 years.

The new sponsorship deal is good news for Chelsea as it will provide Chelsea with more money to spend whether that be on players or facility upgrades. The deal is the second largest kit deal in English football history and is Chelsea’s biggest. Yokohama Tyres have made an initial 5 year deal, with The Telegraph reporting the deal to be worth close to £4o million; this is more than double the worth of our previous agreement with Samsung.
