Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has accused his Premier League rivals of attempting to spend big in order to win the title.
The significant trio of Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City haven’t struggled to put their hands in their pockets this summer.
On the other hand, the Blues, who’ll be hoping to win back the Premier League title next season, have’t spent as much despite bringing in Asmir Begovic and Radamel Falcao.
During his time at Real Madrid, and his first spell at Chelsea, Mourinho spent money. But now, the Portuguese boss has some judgemental words to his Premier League challengers.
Following Chelsea’s win over PSG on Saturday night, Mourinho spoke to the media,
In the beginning of Mr Abramovich coming to Chelsea, Chelsea was buying the title. Now, they are buying the title. All of them, they are buying the title.
It is up to us to be strong and to fight them and, obviously, to try and win it again, even without the big investments.
When speaking about his new loan signing Radamel Falcao, Mourinho had high hopes:
He isn’t as tired as the others, the others have done 10 days – he’s just done two,
He has just arrived, trained two days, so he has the sharpness and no fatigue. It was good for him to come in and score in the shootout.
