The offer from the Premier League champions was rejected immidietly on Tuesday, but the West London club are still confident of concluding a deal for the Englishman before the transfer window slams shut at the end of the summer.
Despite Everton being adamant that he isn’t for sale, it it understood that if Chelsea really want Stones, they’ll have to be looking at a bid of around £34m.
Chelsea must plot their bid for Stones now that they have returned from their pre-season tour of the United States of America.
There’s still over a month of the transfer window remaining, so there’s no rush for Chelsea to submit their 3rd, and probably last bid.
