Mourinho hints that Pedro may play against Arsenal

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has hinted that Pedro may play tomorrow (Saturday) against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.

The former FC Porto, Inter Milan and Real Madrid manager left Pedro out of Chelsea’s Champions League squad vs Maccabi Tel Aviv on Wednesday night due to a muscular injury. This has casted doubts over his availability for this weekend’s London derby.

However, Jose told journalists in his press conference earlier today that he will “see what happens” with Pedro before deciding on his team to play the game.

I select every player for the game because we have doubts. Willian is not even an option. Pedro, [Radamel] Falcao, Oscar – let’s see what happens, let’s see.

Chelsea currently lack options in attacking midfield on the right due to Willian missing the game and both Oscar and Pedro being doubts. Mourinho might not want to risk either of the latter two if they aren’t 100% fit therefore this could see either Ramires or Loic Remy filling in out wide on the right.

But tomorrow is a huge game at a time Chelsea desperately need points so Mourinho might want to play his best side possible with everyone in their favoured positions.
