Branislav Ivanovic: He is still out injured following an injury to his hamstring during the international break while playing for Serbia. He is expected to be back in the next few weeks for Chelsea’s match with Norwich City.

Doubts

Diego Costa: He is still a doubt to play on Saturday after brusing his ribs during the Capital One Cup match away to Stoke. There is no date when he is expected to be back.

Pedro: He is still a doubt for the match on Saturday and hasn’t played since the win against Aston Villa. Although little has been said about what the injury is. He is expected to be back in the team for the match against Liverpool but a late fitness test is needed to confirm whether he will be available or not.

Both are awaiting late fitness tests to see if they will be available to join the rest of the squad for the match against Liverpool.
