Chelsea lose again… No surprise, a lacklustre performance was topped off with sloppy defending which lead to two Leicester goals, a mistake from Mr reliable, Cesar Azpilicueta showed us that it wasn’t going to be our night.
Despite a late goal from substitute Loic Remy was unable to cover up a terrible performance. Normally Mourinho would tell the press that his side didn’t deserve to lose but in this case his words were different.
Q: Is the Top 4 gone now? – Mourinho: “Yes, clearly.”
I think Leicester deserved to win because they were better than us during a longer period of time. We conceded two goals that were unacceptable. Very difficult to accept because I feel my work was betrayed. It’s difficult to score goals when you have players who are not at their top level – especially in crucial positions.
Last season I brought them to a level that isn’t really their level yet. Clearly for some of them it is so, so difficult. Eden Hazard made the decision to come off. He just left the pitch, so it must be something serious. It must be important. I always try to help.
The changes helped but it wasn’t enough. We kept Zouma and Azpilicueta on because we needed their pace. I have to be honest and say I have no complaints with the players in training. Every day in training I enjoy to work with them.
