Report: La Liga giants interested in Chelsea star

In a report in the Daily Star (take of that what you will), Eden Hazard’s future in West London has been put into doubt as La Liga giants Real Madrid express their interest.

Following the sacking of former interim Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez at the Bernabeu, Zinedine Zidane who has always been a huge admirer of the Belgian winger, has taken the reigns and reignited Los Blancos’ interested.

Prior to replacing Benitez, Zidane was put in the hot seat where he revealed his admiration of Chelsea’s winger, and it’s clear that the former French international rates the former Lille man highly.

After Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Hazard is my favourite player.  It is spectacular to see him play.

Do I see him going to Real Madrid? I love the player, that’s all I will say.

Hazard, who was named as the Player of the Year by the PFA and FWA last season, has looked a shadow of himself this campaign, although that can be said about the majority of the squad.

When Jose Mourinho was sacked, a selection of Chelsea fans were singling out Hazard for ‘under-performing’ whilst the fans favourite was still in charge in West London.

If the above report is to be believed, Chelsea won’t let go of Hazard easily, and could potentially ask for a fee of around £100m.
