Is Alexandre Pato’s disastrous loan spell at Cobham about to come to an end? I would say Stamford Bridge but the Brazilian is yet to make an appearance for the club. Pato was signed from Corinthians on a 6 month loan in the January window in an attempt to get the player back on the European map, but it has be a disaster so far as he is yet to make an appearance and seems to be quite far down the pecking order in Guus Hiddink’s forward options.
The signing was made as a favour to his agent Kia Joorabchian as he has done a lot for the club in deals, but it was never ideal to sign Pato as he hadn’t played since November and was evidently overweight.
Pato still dreams about playing in Europe and feels he has unfinished business in the continent after falling off the map since he was once name the hottest prospect in world football, injuries had plagued his opportunities at AC Milan and returned back to his native country.
Many of the clubs fans would’ve loved the opportunity to watch the once talented forward, but may not get that chance as Pato may not be as good as first thought and is clearly not impressing interim manager, Guus Hiddink.
