Carlo Ancelotti: Conte can definitely be a success at Chelsea

The former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti believes the incoming Antonio Conte can be a success at Stamford Bridge, Daily Mail reports.

Conte, who took over at Juventus after playing there for 13 years, won three successive Serie A titles while in charge, and the new Bayern München manager Ancelotti believes he will be just as brilliant ahead of the current Azzurri head coach’s move to Chelsea.

Conte is a hard worker: really serious, really professional and always focused on his job.

Chelsea are getting a top manager who will look at all the little details.

Coming to England from Italy, he will find a different world: less pressure, no violence, a great atmosphere, full stadiums – just totally different from Italy at this moment. He can definitely be a success at Chelsea.

The Blues have developed an affinity for Italian managers over the years, with Gianluca Vialli, Roberto Di Matteo, Claudio Ranieri and Ancelotti himself, all fans’ favourites.

Regardless of Ancelotti losing his job following a trophyless 2010-2011 season the former Real Madrid manager admits he’d love to be back managing the West London based team again one day.

Did Chelsea ask me to return to the club last year? No, no. But I would have no problem going back to Chelsea. My experience with Chelsea, and in English football, was fantastic.

Ancelotti was Conte’s manager during the 46-year-old’s playing career in Juve, and inside the Reggiolo born manager’s two first seasons at the Blues he succeeded to lift both the Premier League and the FA Cup trophy.
