Chelsea open talks for £8m Brazil international

Chelsea have reportedly opened talks for Inter Milan center-back Juan Jesus, Daily Express reports.

Following Chelsea’s main defensive target Antonio Rudiger’s serious knee injury, the club have made a list of possible alternatives for the German.

Now the Blues have set their sights on to the 25-year-old Brazilian, who only made 19 appearances for the Italian outfit last season behind the center-back pairing of Jeison Murillo and Miranda.

Juan Jesus was reportedly a target for Antonio Conte when the manager was still in charge of Juventus, and he has now renewed his interest for the player.

Inter Milan are prepared to sell players for profit this summer as the cub are struggling to make up a £39m deficit to comply with the Financial Fair Play rules.

And since Juan Jesus – who Inter signed from Internacional for £3m – has lost his place in the starting line-up, it’s likely for him to be one of the players sold as the club have set an asking price of £8m for him.
