A bit over four years ago the current Belgium captain was one of Europe’s most wanted youngsters, and thanks to our unbelivable Champions League triumph, he then decided to take his opportunity with us.

Quick after that Hazard became our key player and helped the Blues to claim the Europa League and Premier League titles, also becoming one of the national side’s main men as well. However, along with the other Chelsea players, his form ultimately dropped during last season, as he was only capable of scoring five goals in the league, going 29 games without one. Many reports were linking him to an exit as Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain emerged as favourites to sign him this summer.
But to silence the transfer talk and show he’s really getting back on track, he scored his first goal in the European Championship and claimed his third assist of the tournament to his name last night. Hence Belgium made their way to the quarter-finals, where they will face an in-form Wales side, also hoping to go far this year.

All in all, we can all be happy to see Hazard working his magic again, as no matter how much most of us fans wanted him sold last season, we can all take our words back and enjoy his swagger on the upcoming season under new and exciting Antonio Conte. It’s good having you back, Eden.
