Chelsea’s newly announced manager Antonio Conte is determined to put behind last season’s upsetting title defence by finishing tenth in the league, and reinforce The Blues with three new signings.
The Italian had his first press conference with his new club yesterday, and has given clear insights to what we’re about to experience during the upcoming campaign.

We (the staff)Â are talking with the club (board)Â and we know that the team needs reinforcing.
I am sure that in the coming days we can reach our target to reinforce the team and get closer to the other club.
In the coming days we might buy one, two or three players, I don’t know. But (they must be) players who can reinforce us for the season. It will be very tough.
Chelsea have already managed to capture Belgium international Michy Bathsuayi from Olympique de Marseille for £33m, but are yet to announce any more signings.

So far Chelsea have had a little of luck on their pursuit for new key members at the club, after the long and hard road of capturing AS Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan never finally made it.
But according to the latest transfer news, Chelsea have seemingly hit the break-through on the signing of N’Golo Kanté, after Leicester accepted The Blues’s £29m offer for the player.

However Antonio ‘The Godfather’ Conte thinks Chelsea belong to the Champions League without a doubt, and promises to do his everything to take his new team back to that stage.
For this club to compete, to get back to the Champions League and get back to winning the title, I know only one way. Work, work, work.
The most important thing is to work and for me to give an identity to my team, bring my idea of football, my passion, my work, and transfer my passion to my players and fans.
