According to reports in Italy, Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Diego Lopez, if Asmir Begovic decides to angle a move away from Stamford Bridge, Daily Star claims.
Last week the Blues reportedly agreed a deal with AC Milan for Lopez to join Chelsea if the Bosnia and Herzegovina international makes an exit.

Diego Lopez is expected to be leaving San Siro this summer, as despite joining the Serie A side from Real Madrid in 2014, the Spaniard spent last season backing up the 17-year-old Italian wonder-kid Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Ronald Koeman, the new Everton manager, already brought Dutch keeper Maarten Stekelenburg with him from Southampton to Goodison Park.
However, the former Saints head coach is believed to be capable of luring Begovic to join the Toffees, should he be promised first-team football.
It’s still unknown how much Chelsea will play for the 34-year-old Diego Lopez.
