N’Golo Kanté, Diego Costa can both play says Antonio Conte

Diego Costa has returned from his back problem and is finally going to make his first appearance in the United States tour, as the last fixture of International Champions Cup is looming, Chelsea’s official website reports.

Chelsea new boy N’Golo Kanté could also make his debut on Wednesday night local time, as The Blues conquer yet another US city before flying back to London.

These were the news from Antonio Conte after the team were training ahead of tonight’s game, which will be played on the brand new, 66,000-capacity stadium called US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Diego Costa has recovered from his injury. Tomorrow I decide the formation and the starting 11 but he is available and I am very happy that I can count on him.

I repeat that Diego Costa is a Chelsea player and for me this is the most important thing at this moment. He is very happy to stay with us.

N’Golo Kanté joined his new team-mates at the training just five days ago after having a longer holiday due to his Euro 2016 commitments with France.

He (Kanté) is in a good shape. Now he is working on the tactical aspect including through the video analysis, and also on the physical aspect, and I think tomorrow he can play one half or 30 minutes and I am very happy to see him so ready to play.

Despite there is only two weeks left until the season kicks off at Stamford Bridge against London rivals West Ham United, the new Chelsea boss hasn’t really looked into the line-up he will use in the match as he says there is still ins and outs that we might see in the transfer market in the coming days.

The West Ham game is a bit far but not too far because there remain only two weeks and the season is close. It is important to work very well in this pre-season with these players and I am pleased because there is a good attitude and good behaviour.

With the Bremen game our pre-season finishes, and then we will start the week that will bring the West Ham game. For me and for the club it is important to have the year very clear. I know the moment will arrive to choose the players and it is my role.

In the much nearer future, Conte talks about honoring the brand new stadium Chelsea will play the first ever match on against the Serie A side that Conte is very familiar with on forehand.

The stadium is wonderful and we are pleased to play the first time. And the American crowd is fantastic because they have the passion and enthusiasm and we feel this during the games.
