Chelsea forward Bertrand Traoré has signed a new three-year extension to his contract with the Blues, Chelsea’s official website have confirmed.
However the Burkina Faso international won’t stay at Stamford Bridge for the upcoming season, as he will be loaned to Eredivisie side Ajax Amsterdam, as he continues development.
The new contract will keep Traoré at the club until 2019, as the 20-year-old made his debut last season, becoming the first Burkinabe to score in the Premier League for Chelsea in our 5-1 win over Newcastle United.
Traoré ended last season with four goals in 16 appearances for the senior side, but will now spend the 2016/17 campaign on loan in Holland to gain regular first-team action.
He previously impressed for Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem, and will now return to the country’s top-flight league joining one of the biggest clubs in Holland’s history.
Also heading to Netherlands is 19-year-old Chelsea youngster Danilo Pantic, who will join Excelisor on a one-year loan.
