Crystal Palace closing in on Loic Remy signing

After rumours linking the Frenchman to a Olympique de Lyonnais move, Loic Remy could be on the verge of signing for Premier League side Crystal palace, L’Equipe reports.

Alan Pardew’s team have made a one-season loan offer for the 29-year-old, and Chelsea could offload him in the coming days.

Remy has been out-favoured by the few previous Chelsea managers, and it seems that following Diego Costa’s form and the arrival of new boy Michy Batshuayi, the former Newcastle striker’s story seems to have a sequel under Antonio Conte as well.

Thus Remy is ready to look for a team with more regular playing time on the horizon, and Crystal Palace have emerged as interest to sign the versatile forward.

The Eagles have also been keen on signing Liverpool forward Christian Benteke, but since the talks have stalled, they’re looking for alternatives.

Remy joined Chelsea in 2014 from Queens Park Rangers, after The Blues agreed to trigger his £10.5m release-clause, but has made only 32 league appearances for the club, scoring eight goals in total.
