Despite leaving it for late, Chelsea once again found their way to claim all three points, after Antonio Conte’s tactical masterclass performance.
The Blues went 1-0 down through Watford midfielder Etienne Capoue’s exquisite half-volley goal, but climbed back into the game, as substitute Michy Batshuayi tapped in his first Chelsea goal, and Diego Costa followed with a great finish from Cesc Fabregas’ spectacular through ball just minutes before full-time.

Following Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Watford today, the manager praised the team spirit and attitude, that granted his side the league-topping victory, Chelsea report on their Twitter account.
I’m a very happy manager. The players all think about the team, and not the individual player.
The right commitment, attitude and spirit. We are a good family and a good team.
The 47-year-old also commented on the great Spanish duo; Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas, for their great performances today.
He’s (Diego Costa) scored two goals [this season], but I prefer them at the start and not the end!
[And] we all know Cesc is a great player with a great technique, a good pass and assist. He is working very hard.
The transfer window will be closing in less than two weeks time, and despite knocking down the huge inflation in today’s transfer market, the manager is ready to sign at least one more player this summer.
I want to buy the right player for Chelsea. For the future and the present.
The club and me are talking every day to improve this squad. It’s very difficult in this market. It’s very crazy.
