According to Goal, the Blues are ready to offload youngsters Kenedy and Matt Miazga this summer, but won’t agree them to leave before players are brought in at Stamford Bridge.
The Brazilian and the United States international have had plenty of loan offers to process, but since Chelsea have been unable to sign a defender in return, no deal has been able to be pulled through.
Watford’s season-long loan offer for Kenedy remains open, while Miazga has bids from two unnamed Premier League clubs waiting for a response.
The Chelsea duo are hopeful of their loan moves to succeed, but they might have to wait up until the final hours of the transfer window as Antonio Conte is still chasing Serie A center-backs Kalidou Koulibaly and Alessio Romagnoli.
Conte is worried that Miazga is not experienced enough to work as a cover for John Terry and Gary Cahill in Chelsea’s heart of defence, and for both of the players the worst case scenario would be to sit on the bench throughout all season.
Therefore it would be ideal for the 20-year-old and 21-year-old to find themselves a Premier League side which offers them as much playing time as possible.
